Waiting for Snow

We got up to Pittsburgh on Tuesday. It was a long drive, but we're glad to be here. We usually get a least one snow storm when we visit. It hasn't happened yet, but the kids are ever hopeful!

We also got to see Grindaddy and Grandmommy Sampson on the way. It was so fun to visit and catch up. Eden and Ephraim loved them both.

Eden has a hard time in the car sometimes. It was wonderful when we heard Eden say, "Mommy, do you want to know something awesome? You sang my tears away!"

Little Thanksgiving

Our family likes to celebrate 'little' holidays. Usually a week after the major holiday we have another, smaller, celebration. For Christmas and birthdays. This let's us celebrate with friends and with just our family, and to observe both family's traditions. Little Thanksgiving however, is usually just an excuse for more turkey.

Learning the Alphabet

I was practicing the alphabet with Ephraim this morning. Ephraim began to loose interest, so after a bit I heard Eden interject, "No Daddy! It's 'P' not 'tickle'! Tickle isn't a letter!"

New Blog!

So WordPress started putting adds on our last blog, so we have switched to blogger. Here are our most recent pics of the four of us:

Merry Christmas from the Sampsons

January 1st was Little Christmas for our family. We like to celebrate Christmas twice each year. Big Christmas we spend with family on the 25th. Little Christmas is usually a week later and is just our little family. It gives us the time to just be ourselves, and also celebrate with the other side of the family's traditions. Since we were with the Shuss side for Big Christmas, we had a Sampson style little Christmas, complete with a really big and really delicious breakfast.
Lots of love, from all of us!
